WHY THIS EVENT?

The ICT Award accelerates progress on the SDGs based on the “four I’s” framework based on building Infrastructure, securing Investment, promoting Innovation, and ensuring Inclusivity. ICT forms the backbone of today’s digital economy and has enormous potential to fast forward progress on the SDGs and improve people’s lives in fundamental ways. We are enthusiastic about the chance to strengthen Nepal’s digital industry by setting the standard for awards and recognition in the technology sector of Nepal.

The aim of the Award is to:

Encourage Participation by individuals, digital campaigns, organizations, groups, students, businesses, and the community in Nepal’s ICT sector.
Recognize as role models, the tremendous contributions made by individuals, groups, businesses, and organizations throughout Nepal in the ICT sector.
Promote Sustainable Development Goals aimed to achieve decent lives by 2030.
Acknowledge the incredible achievements of individuals, groups, and businesses that create a sense of pride, unity, and inspiration throughout the Excellency in the ICT Sector of Nepal.

He feels that ICT Awards has really come a long way in these 5 years and will bring further colors in the days to come.

He also keeps on requesting the professionals involved in IT sector to organize Olympiad from the school level so that the people interested in this field can be collected and made professionals. He also wishes to develop IT labs in Nepal. He also felt that organizers have done a great work by organizing such an event and gather IT intellects from throughout the country.
