He is been currently assigned to work in the Department of National ID and Civil Registration. Before this he had beard the responsibility for Department of Information, Communication and Technology. He has playing a great role to put up an impact on ICT Awards as a jury member ever since 2016.

Shiba Kumar Pokharel

Under secretary at Ministry of Communication and information technology. Before this, he has worked responsibly in Ministry of Finance. He has always worked in the betterment of IT sector. He has been appointed as the jury member for the ICT Awards for the first time but nevertheless, his role has been very impactful and important for the Award procedure.

Under Secretary (MoEST)

Aadesh Khadka

Under secretary at Ministry of education, Science and Technology. Formerly he had also worked in the Information and Technology sector of the Finance Ministry. He is really a great individual in the rational allocation of resources.  He has participated as a jury member in the ICT Awards for the first time.

Director (NTA)

Bijay Roy

Director at monitoring division Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA). He has played a great role in connecting NTA to IT sector to bridge the gap due to the digital divide in the country. From policy making to development of Innovation and Technology, he has always imparted an active role in whichever field he goes to. He is also participating as the Jury member for the very first time.

Bal Krishna Bal

Associate Professor and Head of department of Computer Science and Engineering, Kathmandu University. His major career goals include Software Localization and Natural Language Processing (NLP). He has been working in the field of IT since a long time. He has closely analyzed and managed several software localization projects. He has also led and worked in several Natural Language Processing Projects as a Researcher, for instance, in Machine Translation, Opinion Mining, Text-to-Speech, Automatic Speech Recognition, with a special focus towards Nepali. He is familiar with the life cycle of Software Localization and Natural Language Processing Projects, to interact and deal with people of multi-national origins from different spheres of expertise (software developers, linguists, engineers, language specialists, language owners.

ED (Kings College)

Narottam Aryal

He is executive Director and president at Kings College. He had also worked as general manager- at CG education system. He wants to contribute in welfare of Nepal through entrepreneurship.

Aryal, who has also served in the Government of Nepal’s Startup and Entrepreneurship Committee, has been playing an important role in the ICT Awards since 2018 as a jury member. He is more concerned, experienced and enthusiastic about Startup and Entrepreneurship.

IT Chief (Prabhu Bank Limited)

Ratna Tara Baidya

IT Chief at Prabhu Bank Limited. She has also worked in Nepal- Bangladesh bank as an IT chief. She is known to be the first female IT head in the banking sector of Nepal serving as the inspiration to millions of females out there. She is one of the profound personality in the IT sector. She is also the Senior Vice President of CAN Federation. She is playing a great role as the member of Jury team of ICT Awards since 2018 A.D.

James Nyachhyon

Mr. James Nyachyon, Young Entrepreneur passionate about Tech. Innovation and forever Technical implementer of the new invention products and solution. James has been heading the Cybernetics Pvt. Ltd Solutions’ Innovation and Strategy Development division since 2012. With 2 decades of experiences in Information Communication and Technology, he started his journey in technology as a lecturer and a network specialist. He also has an experience of working in the banking sector.

For the current moment, he is entrusted to continue delivering innovative product and solutions; Specially focused in Remote monitoring and configure Technologies at the same time strengthen the company’s performance and national/international presence via strategic planning and approach.

President, Internet Foundation Nepal

Bikram Shrestha

He is the head of banking sector in the Sanima Bank. He is responsible for overall administrative, operational, ICT of the Bank’s payment system like, Card Products (Debit/Credit), Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Branchless Banking, Automated Teller Machine (ATM) products & services and other related systems. Beside, Head e-Banking, he has also been appointed as Information Security Officer (ISO). He is also the former president of the Internet Society and has experience in banking career as well as entrepreneurship. Shrestha, who also represents ICANN, has got the experience as a jury member in international awards. Shrestha has been a jury member of the ICT Awards since 2017.

Ravi Phuyal

Ravi Phuyal is the Managing Director of the ING Group, as well as Islington College. He also represents the Nepal Entrepreneurs Hub. Phuyal, who has worked closely with startups, innovators and IT developers, has made significant contributions to Nepal’s IT education. Phuyal has been a jury member since the first ICT Awards 2016 and has served as a jury coordinator in 2017.

Ganga Subba

Ganga Subba, who studied computer engineering from Pulchowk Engineering, is working as the IT coordinator of Sagarmatha Engineering and IT College. Ganga Subba’s contribution to IT education has been significant. She has been playing an important role in the ICT Awards since 2019 as a jury member. She works as a tremendous program coordinator.

Bishwas Regmi

Bishwas Regmi is the chairman of the Technology Journalists Forum. He has made a good contribution to information technology in Nepalese media. Regmi, who is currently working at Gorkhapatra, has been playing an important role as a jury member of the ICT Awards since 2019 BS.

Sushil Pokharel

Pokharel is the founder of For My Nation a charity organization established to build permanent shelter to earthquake (Gorkha) victims.

He mentors aspiring young entrepreneurs through Yuwa Uddhyami Ghar . The organization provides a platform to pitch their ideas and arranges the meeting with potential investors. With his investing knowledge and operating experience, Pokharel is also working as a venture capitalist. Pokharel is the recipient of Asia Honesty Awards for his achievement for an important role in encouraging SMEs across the world. Additionally, he was honored with Mars Award for his contribution in promoting women entrepreneurship in 2015.

Hempal Shrestha

He is the knowledge management specialist and also the co-founder at Nepal Entrepreneurs hub. He is also the inter disciplinary consulting researcher with over 18 years of experience in South Asia, Central Asia, Europe and America. He has specialty in IT strategy, knowledge management, and intellectual property. He is a frequent speaker and moderator at high-level business, technical and policy consultations and interactions in Nepal.
